No Remorse by MaryLynn Bast *REVIEW* 4 stars

Book #1 in the Heart of the Wolf Series

First I would like to say that I enjoyed this book.  The reason I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I think it could have been more polished.  The scenes and plot were good but it just needed more lead in and pazzazz.  The sex scenes were the only scenes that I felt had the great detail and background.

This book is about a female werewolf who has been on the run her entire life.   Amber and Blake draw you into their story from the beginning.  All you want is for Amber to have a normal life and for her to reconnect with the one person that ever showed her kindness. I liked the way the story progresses.  There is plenty of love, laughter, sadness, fear and mystery.  I loved the way Amber and Blake reconnected.

The one thing I DIDN'T like is that Amber just takes everyone's word for everything, even when she finds out that everyone she has ever loved, lied to her.  She just accepts it and moves on with hardly any protest or argument.  It is an injustice to this otherwise strong character.   With everything Amber has been through you expect her to be more distrustful, or atleast I did.

I will sat that I plan on reading the next book in this series. I think that MaryLynn Bast has talent and I look forward to future books written by her :)

Blurb:

Due to her unusual birth, Amber has abilities no other werewolf has ever possessed. On the run since childhood, the lone wolf avoids contact with other werewolves at all cost, continually moving, constantly looking over her shoulder and always alone.

Everything changes when Amber saves a werewolf from the mere brink of death, Blake, the only werewolf to ever protect her. Love blossoms, but not without tribulations when Amber realizes she must help her new pack rescue a member who is being held hostage by a rival pack.

Warring with emotions of going from lone wolf to the pack leader’s mate, Amber must decide if she is willing to risk Blake’s life to know true family and friendship despite the fact that the Council is hell bent on locating her and will stop at nothing until she is found. Will Amber’s special abilities be enough to keep everyone safe?

Rose Pressey has a new Contest!!!

As most of you know author Rose Pressey is one of my favorite authers and she is having another contest. For more info go to Rose's website.

Here is a blurb for soon to be released book, Charmed Again

Reluctant witch Halloween LaVeau never guessed that inheriting LaVeau Manor would be so difficult. Sure, she was named Worst Witch of the Year, but her botched spell-casting is all behind her now, right? Everything changed after discovering the ancient Book of Mystics. She’s now the leader of the Underworld… whatever that means. Apparently, she’s in charge of keeping order within the paranormal world.
If that wasn’t enough, Halloween—or Hallie as she prefers to be called—has two gorgeous men making her life even more confusing. The sexy vampire Nicolas Marcos has been accused of stealing another witch’s powers. With the help of Nicolas’ brother, the good-looking warlock Liam Rankin, Hallie must discover if Nicolas is guilty as charged. How will she navigate this Underworld

Rose Pressy Contest

One of my favorite authors, Rose Pressey,  is having a awesome contest to celebrate the release of her new book Forever Charmed (THe Halloween LeVeau Series, Book 1). Enter to win a Ipad Mini and she has an awesome book deal where you can buy Forever Charmed for 99 cents, this weekend. For more details go to http://rosepressey.com/blog/2013/03/21/win-an-ipad-mini/

Here is the Blurb for Forever Charmed

Halloween LaVeau is descended from a long line of witches. Yes, her name is Halloween. The cosmic universe is definitely playing some kind of sick joke on her. She’s the ultimate witch cliché, complete with a black cat and spooky house. Thank heavens she’s missing the warts and flying broom.
From bestselling author, Rose Pressey, comes Forever Charmed, the first book in an all new series!

When Halloween
inherits her great-aunt’s manor, she decides to put the house to good use as a bed-and-breakfast. Her first guest is the sinfully good-looking Nicolas Marcos, but he’s not here for the continental breakfast. Halloween discovers a ratty old book in the attic. It’s written in an unfamiliar language.

Halloween soon learns this is not an ordinary spellbook. The tome brings her a new talent, but her new skills come with a catch. When a rival witch comes after the book, Halloween doesn’t know who to trust–the sexy vampire who says he wants to save the day, or the warlock who says he can destroy the book once and for all.

Me and My Ghoulfriends by Rose Pressey

Me and My Ghoulfriends by Rose Pressey is an amazing book.  It has been one of the best books I'Ve read in a very long time.  Rose makes this book both funny, scary and extremely entertaining.  It has everything you need in a good paranormal romance and its not over the top sex like alot of books out there now.  I look forward to reading more of this series and a few of Rose Pressey's other series.

"Larue is a all around wholesome girl next door... well with one exception she can see and communicate with the dead.  She thinks she has found the "right guy" but things just don't seem to be going as planned. Will it work out or will ectoplasm hit the fan."

***REVIEW***Opal Fire by Barbra Annino ***5 stars***

Opal Fire was an amazing read.  I couldn't put it down!!!  There is just enough magic, mystery and romance in the story, its very refreshing not to have one over power the other.  Stacy the main character is hilarious, some of the situations she gets into leave you wondering what she could possibly do to top it and she always does.  Her cousin, Cinnamon, is the tough girl of the group. Their are 3 elder witches, Birdie, their grandma and head witch; Lolly the lovable half-wit and Fiona the Liz Taylor of her time.  There are sooo many awesome characters that I can't tell you about all of them but rest assured you will love them all.  I couldn't wait to get the next book so I bought it right away.  I look forward to reading more of Barbra Annino's work and I hope you love it as much as I did.

It is a free read right now on Amazon for Kindle, so go pick up your copy today

Please share this video and let us know what you think.  I have posted a video on YouTube look for Brandyzbooks page.  Here are a few of the pics...

Please be sure to share this with friends, we would like to get your opinion.  Be Nice please if you can't be then DO NOT Comment here or on You Tube.

***REVIEW*** Children of the King Book One: Washed Under the Waves by Gloria Clover

Blurb

A prince in disguise.

An unknown island. Tsunami. Political coup. Pirates with lasers. And true love.

Lady Tayte Bashan knows her black hair doesn’t qualify her to rule any island, let alone one in such disrepair. She hopes when the prophesied prince arrives he picks another bride.

The people of Undae hide from their past pain in the pleasures of entertainment. Then, a darker need surfaces. And the waves rise.

Review

This book was interesting and but a little confusing when they talk about the King. I was told it was a futuristic book and it was BUT it all took place on an island that had never been touch since it was first inhabited by a Roman's family atleast until a man who was shipwrecked and 2 who landed with parachutes about 100 years before the story starts. They didn't really bring much to the island as far as technology so they have lived the same way for thousands of years.

It is your basic prince and princess romance with "The King" whom you later discover to be Jesus in the mix. I like how they bring "The King" to the people of the Island but I found there interaction with Jesus alittle far fetched. I pray, but they see him and carry on long conversations and he comes to them in person and celebrates with them at there festival. I don't know if the Rapture has taken place and he is on earth with us or if it is another explaination. It turned me off alittle but not enough that I didn't want to read the whole book.

The drama on the island picks up as the book goes along and there are some amazing twists and turns in the story that leave to wanting more right up till the end. Some scenes drag while others go by way to fast. I would love to read the 2nd book in this series, if only to see where they author goes from here.
